What is WizeUp?
Wizeup is a web-based platform connecting educators and students in their own communities. Think of it like a dating website for learning.
Who can use it?
Anything involving education and/or wellbeing will fit into this platform. That includes everything from tutoring and language classes to blacksmithing and hair styling. If you are a teacher, instructor, coach, or learner, this is for you.
How does it work?
Instructors create profiles using a template. Additionally, an optional background check may be completed and included on their profile. Choose between group classes and/or one-on-one lessons, set prices, and customize scheduling.
Students create profiles using a template. They will have the option to fill out a bio and a background check as well. Students will submit reviews and ratings of instructors, which will then be included on the instructor’s profile.
How does scheduling work?
Instructors choose between a variety of scheduling templates. Students may search for instructors based on scheduling needs. Whether classes are regular or varying, scheduling and communication is made easy using WizeUp.
What if the student is underage?
You must be 18 or older to create a profile. If the student is underage, the profile can be created and managed by the parent or guardian on the student’s behalf.
How does payment work?
Say goodbye to awkward conversations and forgetting that handwritten check on the kitchen counter. Payments will be securely made through the app using a credit card. All payments will be recorded and easily trackable for both students and instructors. Turn on notifications to get reminders when there is an upcoming payment due.
